Adolf Branald's and Zdeněk Šmíd's View of Carlsbad

This bachelor's thesis deals with the depiction of Karlovy Vary in the works of Adolf Branald and Zdeněk Šmíd, especially in the Promenade with a Deer, My Old Good Vary and Ghosts and the Beautiful Fairies. The core of the work is an analysis of the author's style of both authors and a comparison of images depicting the same or similar themes across all three works. At the end of the work is briefly discussed the motif of the mystery, which gradually reveals other images and motifs.
